drake's bay

Drake's bay was our last stop before San Francisco. We arrived late at night so seeing it was a big surprise in the morning. We finally realized why everyone thought Canada had so many trees and seeing almost none was a shock. After getting over the site of what looked like a pile of dirt and rocks you could see how beautiful it was. There were so many colours in the rocks and layers on layers of red and orange. The beautiful pelicans swarmed the place and cute little houses decorated the place and made it seem less of a desert. The first day there it was too windy to put the dingy down from the top of the boat so we waited and I spent the day doing homework and helping around the boat.
The second day we took down the dingy after I was done my homework for that day.

Here is what we saw at drake's bay:
The corner before you head into open water

some pelicans flying

river otters defending their territory

the red colour in the rock

a seal shows off (or wants to sun his neck)

my favourite pelican shot i've taken so far
sadly this one is not in focus, it would have been a great shot

a cute little seal we saw on the beach
some gyoza looking seals lie on the beach, sunbathing
